תהילים ל׳ | Psalm 30

​

מִזְמוֹר שִׁיר חֲנֻכַּת הַבַּיִת לְדָוִד
A psalm, a song for the dedication of the House. Of David.

 

אֲרוֹמִמְךָ יְהוָה כִּי דִלִּיתָנִי וְלֹא שִׂמַּחְתָּ אֹיְבַי לִי
I will exalt You, LORD, for You have drawn me up and not let my enemies rejoice over me.

 

יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי שִׁוַּעְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ וַתִּרְפָּאֵנִי
LORD my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me.

 

יְהוָה הֶעֱלִיתָ מִשְּׁאוֹל נַפְשִׁי חִיִּיתַנִי מִיָּרְדִי בוֹר
LORD, You brought up my soul from Sheol; You kept me alive from among those descending to the pit.

 

זַמְּרוּ לַיהוָה חֲסִידָיו וְהוֹדוּ לְזֵכֶר קָדְשׁוֹ
Sing to the LORD, His faithful ones, and give thanks to His holy name.

 

כִּי רֶגַע בְּאַפּוֹ חַיִּים בִּרְצוֹנוֹ בָּעֶרֶב יָלִין בֶּכִי וְלַבֹּקֶר רִנָּה
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may lodge at night, but joy comes in the morning.

 

וַאֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי בְשַׁלְוִי בַּל אֶמּוֹט לְעוֹלָם
As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.”

 

יְהוָה בִּרְצוֹנְךָ הֶעֱמַדְתָּ לְהַרְרִי עֹז הִסְתַּרְתָּ פָנֶיךָ הָיִיתִי נִבְהָל
LORD, by Your favor You made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face — I was dismayed.

 

אֵלֶיךָ יְהוָה אֶקְרָא וְאֶל אֲדֹנָי אֶתְחַנָּן
I called to You, LORD; I pleaded for mercy from the Lord.

 

מַה־בֶּצַע בְּדָמִי בְּרִדְתִּי אֶל־שָׁחַת הֲיוֹדְךָ עָפָר הֲיַגִּיד אֲמִתֶּךָ
“What gain is there in my death, in my going down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?”

 

שְׁמַע יְהוָה וְחָנֵּנִי יְהוָה הֱיֵה עֹזֵר לִי
Hear, LORD, and be gracious to me; LORD, be my helper.

 

הָפַכְתָּ מִסְפְּדִי לְמָחוֹל לִי פִּתַּחְתָּ שַׂקִּי וַתְּאַזְּרֵנִי שִׂמְחָה
You turned my mourning into dancing for me; You loosed my sackcloth and girded me with joy.

 

לְמַעַן יְזַמֶּרְךָ כָבוֹד וְלֹא יִדֹּם יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי לְעוֹלָם אוֹדֶךָּ

So that my glory may sing to You and not be silent. LORD my God, I will thank You forever.

 

תהילים צ״ב | Psalm 92

 

מִזְמוֹר שִׁיר לְיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת
A psalm, a song for the Sabbath day.

 

טוֹב לְהוֹדוֹת לַיהוָה וּלְזַמֵּר לְשִׁמְךָ עֶלְיוֹן
It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.

 

לְהַגִּיד בַּבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ וֶאֱמוּנָתְךָ בַּלֵּילוֹת
To declare Your kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night.

 

עֲלֵי־עָשׂוֹר וְעַל־נֵבֶל עֲלֵי הִגָּיוֹן בְּכִנּוֹר
With a ten-stringed instrument and with the harp, with melody on the lyre.

 

כִּי שִׂמַּחְתַּנִי יְהוָה בְּפָעֳלֶךָ בְּמַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אֲרַנֵּן
For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work; I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

 

מַה־גָּדְלוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ יְהוָה מְאֹד עָמְקוּ מַחְשְׁבֹתֶיךָ
How great are Your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep.

 

אִישׁ־בַּעַר לֹא־יֵדָע וּכְסִיל לֹא־יָבִין אֶת־זֹאת
A senseless man does not know, nor does a fool understand this:

 

בִּפְרֹחַ רְשָׁעִים כְּמוֹ־עֵשֶׂב וַיָּצִיצוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן לְהִשָּׁמְדָם עֲדֵי־עַד
When the wicked spring up like grass and all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed forever.

 

וְאַתָּה מָרוֹם לְעוֹלָם יְהוָה
But You, O LORD, are on high forevermore.

 

כִּי־הִנֵּה אֹיְבֶיךָ יְהוָה כִּי־הִנֵּה אֹיְבֶיךָ יֹאבֵדוּ יִתְפָּרְדוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן
For behold, Your enemies, O LORD, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

 

וַתָּרֶם כִּרְאֵים קַרְנִי בַּלֹּתִי בְּשֶׁמֶן רַעֲנָן
But You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

 

וַתַּבֵּט עֵינִי בְשׁוּרַי בַּקָּמִים עָלַי מְרֵעִים תִּשְׁמַעְנָה אָזְנָי
My eye has seen my enemies, my ears have heard the evildoers who rise against me.

 

צַדִּיק כַּתָּמָר יִפְרָח כְּאֶרֶז בַּלְּבָנוֹן יִשְׂגֶּה
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

 

שְׁתוּלִים בְּבֵית יְהוָה בְּחַצְרוֹת אֱלֹהֵינוּ יַפְרִיחוּ
Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

 

עוֹד יְנוּבוּן בְּשֵׂיבָה דְּשֵׁנִים וְרַעֲנַנִּים יִהְיוּ
They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.

 

לְהַגִּיד כִּי יָשָׁר יְהוָה צוּרִי וְלֹא עַוְלָתָה בּוֹ
To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

 

תהילים ק׳ | Psalm 100

 

מִזְמוֹר לְתוֹדָה
A psalm for thanksgiving.

 

הָרִיעוּ לַיהוָה כָּל־הָאָרֶץ
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!

 

עִבְדוּ אֶת־יְהוָה בְּשִׂמְחָה בֹּאוּ לְפָנָיו בִּרְנָנָה
Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing.

 

דְּעוּ כִּי־יְהוָה הוּא אֱלֹהִים הוּא־עָשָׂנוּ וְלוֹ אֲנַחְנוּ עַמּוֹ וְצֹאן מַרְעִיתוֹ
Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who made us, and we are His — His people and the sheep of His pasture.

 

בֹּאוּ שְׁעָרָיו בְּתוֹדָה חֲצֵרֹתָיו בִּתְהִלָּה הוֹדוּ לוֹ בָּרְכוּ שְׁמוֹ
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.

 

כִּי־טוֹב יְהוָה לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ וְעַד־דֹּר וָדֹר אֱמוּנָתוֹ
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness endures to all generations.

תהילים ק״ג | Psalm 103

​

לְדָוִד בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה וְכָל־קְרָבַי אֶת־שֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ
Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

 

בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה וְאַל־תִּשְׁכְּחִי כָּל־גְּמוּלָיו
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits—

 

הַסֹּלֵחַ לְכָל־עֲו‍ֹנֵכִי הָרֹפֵא לְכָל־תַּחֲלֻאָיִכִי
Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,

 

הַגּוֹאֵל מִשַּׁחַת חַיָּיִכִי הַמְעַטְּרֵכִי חֶסֶד וְרַחֲמִים
Who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

 

הַמַּשְׂבִּיעַ בַּטּוֹב עֶדְיֵכִי תִּתְחַדֵּשׁ כַּנֶּשֶׁר נְעוּרָיִכִי
Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

 

יְהוָה עֹשֶׂה צְדָקוֹת וּמִשְׁפָּטִים לְכָל־עֲשׁוּקִים
The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.

 

יוֹדִיעַ דְּרָכָיו לְמֹשֶׁה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲלִילוֹתָיו
He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

 

רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן יְהוָה אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב־חָסֶד
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.

 

לֹא לָנֶצַח יָרִיב וְלֹא לְעוֹלָם יִטּוֹר
He will not always accuse, nor will He keep His anger forever.

 

לֹא כַחֲטָאֵינוּ עָשָׂה לָנוּ וְלֹא כַעֲו‍ֹנוֹתֵינוּ גָּמַל עָלֵינוּ
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us according to our iniquities.

 

כִּי כִגְבֹהַּ שָׁמַיִם מֵעַל לָאָרֶץ גָּבַר חַסְדּוֹ עַל יְרֵאָיו
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.

 

כִּרְחֹק מִזְרָח מִמַּעֲרָב הִרְחִיק מִמֶּנּוּ אֶת־פְּשָׁעֵינוּ
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

 

כְּרַחֵם אָב עַל־בָּנִים רִחַם יְהוָה עַל־יְרֵאָיו
As a father has compassion for his children, so the LORD has compassion for those who fear Him.

 

כִּי הוּא יָדַע יִצְרֵנוּ זָכוּר כִּי־עָפָר אֲנָחְנוּ
For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

 

אֱנוֹשׁ כֶּחָצִיר יָמָיו כְּצִיץ הַשָּׂדֶה כֵּן יִצְצֶה
As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

 

כִּי רוּחַ עָבְרָה בוֹ וְאֵינֶנּוּ וְלֹא־יַכִּירֶנּוּ עוֹד מְקוֹמוֹ
For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

 

וְחֶסֶד יְהוָה מֵעוֹלָם וְעַד־עוֹלָם עַל יְרֵאָיו וְצִדְקָתוֹ לִבְנֵי בָנִים
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to

children’s children,

 

לְשֹׁמְרֵי בְרִיתוֹ וּלְזֹכְרֵי פִקּוּדָיו לַעֲשׂוֹתָם
To those who keep His covenant and remember His commandments to do them.

 

יְהוָה בַּשָּׁמַיִם הֵכִין כִּסְאוֹ וּמַלְכוּתוֹ בַּכֹּל מָשָׁלָה
The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.

 

בָּרֲכוּ יְהוָה מַלְאָכָיו גִּבּוֹרֵי כֹחַ עֹשֵׂי דְבָרוֹ לִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקוֹל דְּבָרוֹ
Bless the LORD, you His angels, mighty in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His command.

 

בָּרֲכוּ יְהוָה כָּל־צְבָאָיו מְשָׁרְתָיו עֹשֵׂי רְצוֹנוֹ
Bless the LORD, all His hosts, His ministers who do His will.

 

בָּרֲכוּ יְהוָה כָּל־מַעֲשָׂיו בְּכָל־מְקוֹמוֹת מֶמְשַׁלְתּוֹ בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה
Bless the LORD, all His works, in all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul.

 

תהילים קל״ו | Psalm 136

 

הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

 

הוֹדוּ לֵאלֹהֵי הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Give thanks to the God of gods, for His mercy endures forever.

 

הוֹדוּ לַאֲדוֹנֵי הָאֲדֹנִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְעֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת גְּדֹלוֹת לְבַדּוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who alone does great wonders, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְעֹשֵׂה הַשָּׁמַיִם בִּתְבוּנָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who made the heavens with understanding, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְרוֹקַע הָאָרֶץ עַל־הַמָּיִם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who spread out the earth upon the waters, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְעֹשֵׂה אוֹרִים גְּדֹלִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who made great lights, for His mercy endures forever—

 

אֶת־הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לְמֶמְשֶׁלֶת בַּיּוֹם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
The sun to rule by day, for His mercy endures forever;

 

אֶת־הַיָּרֵחַ וְכוֹכָבִים לְמֶמְשְׁלוֹת בַלָּיְלָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
The moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְמַכֵּה מִצְרַיִם בִּבְכוֹרֵיהֶם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn, for His mercy endures forever.

 

וַיּוֹצֵא יִשְׂרָאֵל מִתּוֹכָם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
And brought Israel out from among them, for His mercy endures forever.

 

בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
With a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְגֹזֵר יַם־סוּף לִגְזָרִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, for His mercy endures forever.

 

וְהֶעֱבִיר יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתוֹכוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
And made Israel pass through the midst of it, for His mercy endures forever.

 

וְנִעֵר פַּרְעֹה וְחֵילוֹ בְּיַם סוּף כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְמוֹלִיךְ עַמּוֹ בַמִּדְבָּר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who led His people through the wilderness, for His mercy endures forever.

 

לְמַכֵּה מְלָכִים גְּדֹלִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
To Him who struck down great kings, for His mercy endures forever;

 

וַיַּהֲרֹג מְלָכִים אַדִּירִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
And slew famous kings, for His mercy endures forever—

 

לְסִיחוֹן מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Sihon king of the Amorites, for His mercy endures forever;

 

וּלְעוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
And Og king of Bashan, for His mercy endures forever;

 

וְנָתַן אַרְצָם לְנַחֲלָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
And gave their land as a heritage, for His mercy endures forever;

 

נַחֲלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַבְדּוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
A heritage to Israel His servant, for His mercy endures forev—

 

שֶׁבְּשִׁפְלוּתֵנוּ זָכַר לָנוּ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Who remembered us in our low estate, for His mercy endures forever;

 

וַיִּפְרְקֵנוּ מִצָּרֵינוּ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
And rescued us from our enemies, for His mercy endures forever;

 

נוֹתֵן לֶחֶם לְכָל־בָּשָׂר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Who gives food to all flesh, for His mercy endures forever.

 

הוֹדוּ לְאֵל הַשָּׁמָיִם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ
Give thanks to the God of heaven, for His mercy endures forever.
