תהילים כ״ג | Psalm 23

​

מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד יְהוָה רֹעִי לֹא אֶחְסָר
A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not lack.

​

בִּנְאוֹת דֶּשֶׁא יַרְבִּיצֵנִי עַל מֵי מְנֻחוֹת יְנַהֲלֵנִי
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters.

​

נַפְשִׁי יְשׁוֹבֵב יַנְחֵנִי בְּמַעְגְּלֵי־צֶדֶק לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ
He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

​

גַּם כִּי־אֵלֵךְ בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת לֹא־אִירָא רָע כִּי־אַתָּה עִמָּדִי שִׁבְטְךָ וּמִשְׁעַנְתֶּךָ הֵמָּה יְנַחֲמֻנִי
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me.

תַּעֲרֹךְ לְפָנַי שֻׁלְחָן נֶגֶד צֹרְרָי דִּשַּׁנְתָּ בַשֶּׁמֶן רֹאשִׁי כּוֹסִי רְוָיָה
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

 

אַךְ טוֹב וָחֶסֶד יִרְדְּפוּנִי כָּל יְמֵי חַיַּי וְשַׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית יְהוָה לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים
Surely goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

תהילים כ״ד | Psalm 24

​

לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר לַיהוָה הָאָרֶץ וּמְלוֹאָהּ תֵּבֵל וְיֹשְׁבֵי בָהּ
Of David, a psalm. The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.

​

כִּי הוּא עַל יַמִּים יְסָדָהּ וְעַל נְהָרוֹת יְכוֹנְנֶהָ
For He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

​

מִי־יַעֲלֶה בְהַר יְהוָה וּמִי־יָקוּם בִּמְקוֹם קָדְשׁוֹ
Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place?

​

נְקִי כַפַּיִם וּבַר־לֵבָב אֲשֶׁר לֹא־נָשָׂא לַשָּׁוְא נַפְשׁוֹ וְלֹא נִשְׁבַּע לְמִרְמָה
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not sworn deceitfully.

​

יִשָּׂא בְרָכָה מֵאֵת יְהוָה וּצְדָקָה מֵאֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעוֹ
He shall receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

​

זֶה דּוֹר דֹּרְשָׁיו מְבַקְשֵׁי פָנֶיךָ יַעֲקֹב סֶלָה
This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O Jacob. Selah.

​

שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים רָאשֵׁיכֶם וְהִנָּשְׂאוּ פִּתְחֵי עוֹלָם וְיָבֹא מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, everlasting doors, that the King of glory may enter!

​

מִי־זֶה מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד יְהוָה עִזּוּז וְגִבּוֹר יְהוָה גִּבּוֹר מִלְחָמָה
Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle.

 

שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים רָאשֵׁיכֶם וּשְׂאוּ פִּתְחֵי עוֹלָם וְיָבֹא מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד
Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, everlasting doors, that the King of glory may enter!

 

מִי הוּא זֶה מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת הוּא מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד סֶלָה
Who is He, this King of glory? The LORD of hosts—He is the King of glory. Selah.

תהילים ל״ז | Psalm 37

​

אַל־תִּתְחַר בַּמְּרֵעִים אַל־תְּקַנֵּא בְּעֹשֵׂי עַוְלָה
Do not be agitated because of evildoers; do not envy those who do wrong.

 

כִּי כֶחָצִיר מְהֵרָה יִמָּלוּ וּכְיֶרֶק דֶּשֶׁא יִבּוֹלוּ
For they will quickly wither like grass and fade like green plants.

 

בְּטַח בַּיהוָה וַעֲשֵׂה־טוֹב שְׁכָן־אֶרֶץ וּרְעֵה אֱמוּנָה
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

 

וְהִתְעַנַּג עַל־יְהוָה וְיִתֶּן־לְךָ מִשְׁאֲלוֹת לִבֶּךָ
Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

 

גּוֹל עַל־יְהוָה דַּרְכֶּךָ וּבְטַח עָלָיו וְהוּא יַעֲשֶׂה
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act.

 

וְהוֹצִיא כָאוֹר צִדְקֶךָ וּמִשְׁפָּטְךָ כַּצָּהֳרָיִם
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday.

 

דּוֹם לַיהוָה וְהִתְחוֹלֵל לוֹ אַל־תִּתְחַר בְּמַצְלִיחַ דַּרְכּוֹ בְּאִישׁ עֹשֶׂה מְזִמּוֹת
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret over the one who prospers in his way, over a person who carries out wicked schemes.

 

הֶרֶף מֵאַף וַעֲזֹב חֵמָה אַל־תִּתְחַר אַךְ לְהָרֵעַ
Refrain from anger and forsake wrath; do not fret—it only leads to evil.

 

כִּי מְרֵעִים יִכָּרֵתוּ וְקוֵֹי יְהוָה הֵמָּה יִירְשׁוּ־אָרֶץ
For evildoers will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

 

וְעוֹד מְעַט וְאֵין רָשָׁע וְהִתְבּוֹנַנְתָּ עַל־מְקוֹמוֹ וְאֵינֶנּוּ
A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.

 

וַעֲנָוִים יִירְשׁוּ־אָרֶץ וְהִתְעַנְּגוּ עַל־רֹב שָׁלוֹם
But the humble will inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.

 

תהילים קי״ב | Psalm 112

​

הַלְלוּיָהּ אַשְׁרֵי־אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת־יְהוָה בְּמִצְוֹתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹד
Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments.

 

גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָךְ
His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

 

הוֹן וָעֹשֶׁר בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עוֹמֶדֶת לָעַד
Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

 

זָרַח בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אוֹר לַיְשָׁרִים חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם וְצַדִּיק
Light rises in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

 

טוֹב־אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּט
Good is the man who is generous and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice.

 

כִּי־לְעוֹלָם לֹא יִמּוֹט לְזֵכֶר עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה צַדִּיק
Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous will be remembered forever.

 

מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהוָה
He will not fear bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

 

סָמוּךְ לִבּוֹ לֹא יִירָא עַד אֲשֶׁר־יִרְאֶה בְצָרָיו
His heart is secure; he will not fear, until he looks in triumph on his foes.

 

פִּזַּר נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עוֹמֶדֶת לָעַד קַרְנוֹ תָרוּם בְּכָבוֹד
He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted with honor.

 

רָשָׁע יִרְאֶה וְכָעָס שִׁנָּיו יַחֲרֹק וְנָמָס תַּאֲוַת רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵד
The wicked will see it and be angry; he will gnash his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked will perish.

 

תהילים קכ״ח | Psalm 128

 

שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת אַשְׁרֵי כָּל־יִרְאֵי יְהוָה הַהֹלֵךְ בִּדְרָכָיו
A song of ascents. Happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways.

 

יְגִיעַ כַּפֶּיךָ כִּי־תֹאכֵל אַשְׁרֶיךָ וְטוֹב לָךְ
When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.

 

אִשְׁתְּךָ כְּגֶפֶן פֹּרִיָּה בְּיַרְכְּתֵי בֵיתֶךָ בָּנֶיךָ כִּשְׁתִלֵי זֵיתִים סָבִיב לְשֻׁלְחָנֶךָ
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children like olive shoots around your table.

 

הִנֵּה כִי־כֵן יְבֹרַךְ גֶּבֶר יְרֵא יְהוָה
Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD.

 

יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה מִצִּיּוֹן וּרְאֵה בְּטוּב יְרוּשָׁלִַם כָּל־יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ
The LORD bless you from Zion; may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

 

וּרְאֵה בָנִים לְבָנֶיךָ שָׁלוֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל
And may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.

תהילים קמ״ה | Psalm 145 – Ashrei

תְּהִלָּה לְדָוִד אֲרוֹמִמְךָ אֱלוֹהַי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַאֲבָרֲכָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד
A psalm of praise, of David. I will exalt You, my God, the King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever.

 

בְּכָל־יוֹם אֲבָרְכֶךָ וַאֲהַלְלָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד
Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

 

גָּדוֹל יְהוָה וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד וְלִגְדֻלָּתוֹ אֵין חֵקֶר
Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.

 

דּוֹר לְדוֹר יְשַׁבַּח מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וּגְבוּרֹתֶיךָ יַגִּידוּ
One generation will praise Your works to another, and they will declare Your mighty acts.

 

הֲדַר כְּבוֹד הוֹדֶךָ וְדִבְרֵי נִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה
I will speak of the glorious splendor of Your majesty and of Your wondrous works.

 

וֶעֱזוּז נוֹרְאוֹתֶיךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְדוּלָתְךָ אֲסַפְּרֶנָּה
Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.

 

זֵכֶר רַב־טוּבְךָ יַבִּיעוּ וְצִדְקָתְךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ
They will pour forth the fame of Your abundant goodness and sing of Your righteousness.

 

חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְהוָה אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וּגְדָל־חָסֶד
The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in kindness.

 

טוֹב־יְהוָה לַכֹּל וְרַחֲמָיו עַל כָּל מַעֲשָׂיו
The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works.

 

יוֹדוּךָ יְהוָה כָּל־מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְבָרְכוּכָה
All Your works shall thank You, O LORD, and Your faithful ones shall bless You.

 

כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתְךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְבוּרָתְךָ יְדַבֵּרוּ
They will speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your might,

 

לְהוֹדִיעַ לִבְנֵי הָאָדָם גְּבוּרוֹתָיו וּכְבוֹד הֲדַר מַלְכוּתוֹ
To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

 

מַלְכוּתְךָ מַלְכוּת כָּל־עֹלָמִים וּמֶמְשַׁלְתְּךָ בְּכָל־דּוֹר וָדוֹר
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

 

נֹאֵם יְהוָה לְכָל־דְּבָרָיו וְחָסִיד בְּכָל־מַעֲשָׂיו
The LORD is faithful in all His words and gracious in all His works.

 

סוֹמֵךְ יְהוָה לְכָל־הַנֹּפְלִים וְזוֹקֵף לְכָל־הַכְּפוּפִים
The LORD upholds all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down.

 

עֵינֵי־כֹל אֵלֶיךָ יְשַׂבֵּרוּ וְאַתָּה נוֹתֵן לָהֶם אֶת־אָכְלָם בְּעִתּוֹ
The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in its proper time.

 

פּוֹתֵחַ אֶת־יָדֶךָ וּמַשְׂבִּיעַ לְכָל־חַי רָצוֹן
You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

 

צַדִּיק יְהוָה בְּכָל־דְּרָכָיו וְחָסִיד בְּכָל־מַעֲשָׂיו
The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His works.

 

קָרוֹב יְהוָה לְכָל־קֹרְאָיו לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

 

רְצוֹן יְרֵאָיו יַעֲשֶׂה וְאֶת־שַׁוְעָתָם יִשְׁמַע וְיוֹשִׁיעֵם
He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him; He also hears their cry and saves them.

 

שׁוֹמֵר יְהוָה אֶת־כָּל־אֹהֲבָיו וְאֵת כָּל־הָרְשָׁעִים יַשְׁמִיד
The LORD guards all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.

 

תְּהִלַּת יְהוָה יְדַבֶּר־פִּי וִיבָרֵךְ כָּל־בָּשָׂר שֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.
